Georgiana Gavrus is a Phd candidate at the Political Science Department of the Babeș-Bolyai University. Her research focuses on the relationship between religion and forced migration in Europe. She holds a BA in Psychology and an MPA in NGO Management at the same university. Her academic interests include migration, social networks and religion, which have materialized in her previous research work on the volunteers’ motivation to work with refugees in Europe. Georgiana owns an extensive experience in field work, as previous to her studies she had spent six years in
​The Middle East, where she was ​involved in projects on education and development.
​ She is also a collaborator with the League for Human Rights Protection (LADO).
